Anyone seen the previews for this movie. It looks awesome. I can't wait to go see it. I like the preview showing John McClain taking out a helicopter with a car b/c he ran out of bullets. Also, It shows him in a semitruck against a F-22 Raptor. This movie might just blow the other 3 Die Hard movies away.

I've seen the previews. I'm not as excited as you are. But I'll watch it on DVD when it comes out.:)

Well, I think the main reason for excitement is good memories. The only movies that my family made it a family deal to go watch were Star Trek, Star Wars, and Die Hard Movies. We watched a few others but those were the main ones. So, a fourth Die Hard movie is always a good thing.

Whilst I shall watch it, I do think it is a waste of time, and a movie of which we really don't need. It is just people trying to make more money. Look at the latest Rocky Film for an example of that.

I have to agree much of that sentiment. Some movies are just being made because they can't make up new more interesting ones. It's called a lack of imagination.

But like I said, I will watch it when it comes out on DVD. Just not going to go to theater to pay 15 bucks to watch it. I can Pause a DVD when I need to.

Judging from the scuttlebut I've come across in my time away from these forums, I'm of the opinion McClain's daughter will be more the focal character. Going, of course, by the fact she was pretty much that in the last Die Hard game.

I just got home from watching this movie at the theater. I must say, it was everything I expected and more. It was AWESOME. If they don't make another Die hard movie. I would be at peace with it. Because atleast the story in this one ends better then the way the last Die Hard movie ended. So, if you could not tell. I loved the movie.   :excited:

It was a Die Hard movie...as such, if it wasn't better than all of the previous films in the series combined, then the fans would be screaming bloody murder.

Meh, I liked the first one best. This one was ok but it's so full of special effects and explosions that the plot and story suffered a bit. More of a rent it from the movie store when it comes out kinda movie as far as I'm concerned.

But if you like things going boom quite often it's a great.

Well, the "'You just killed a helicopter with a car!' 'I was out of bullets.'"....a classic McClain one-liner. Speaking of which, he use his catchphrase in this latest Die Hard incarnation?

Just seen in tonight, and thought it was brilliant, every moment of it. Kevin Smith was quite funny for his small role (though some of that comes from his 'the fat guy that didnt ruin die hard 4' blog) and there were some classic McClane one-liners, and of course the more classic McClane lines.
The father/daughter moments are hilarious, an had me in stitches (seriously only Kim Bauer has a father you'd like less to be on the bad side of), as well as some of the daughters actions... she definately takes after her father lol

i'd recommend going to see it, its one hell of a spectacle and for me anyway, replaces the first as my favourite, and leaves vengeance trailing way behind.

Bummer that I'm probably going to have to wait until it comes out on DVD (I mean, look at ticket prices these days. I would rather spend that money on something more important, say, like milk and other food and drink needed to survive (its what I get for being an unemployed (currently) student)).
