• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

I just started an Agents of Yesterday character. When I got to the shipyard, I only saw my existing utility cruiser and the Constitution available. Is that right or are more ships available later? Without paying real money, that is. I'm sure there are paid ships available.

If I recall, when you start an AoY character you start in the 23rd Century and instead of a Miranda (or whatever) you get a TOS equivalent (Pioneer?). That is the only free 23rd Century ship that you get, which is annoying. Also, stock up on your 23rd Century BOffs as the only other place you can get them (after you've transitioned to the 25th Century) is the 23rd century fleet base.

Well, darn. I was hoping for a bit more stuff in the 23rd century. I did appreciate that everyone was in the TOS makeup, though. Andorians were even lacking the forehead detail introduced in ENT and their antennae were positioned differently.

Yes, I was most disappointed as well. Personally I felt that the TOS era fit STO better than post-Nemesis. There's no need to manufacture reasons to shoot at Klingons and Romulans, the cold war could easily flair up into a hot war and there were plenty of opportunities for espionage and exploration. And it's easier for the STO artists to kitbash ;)
I was hoping for a nice end game AoY design, but none really strike my fancy. Indeed I think the best of them is the T1 Pioneer, which is a shame.

Yeah, TOS would probably have been a better setting. TLE also could have worked great. TLE is also positioned just right so that you could have everything from Constitutions to Galaxies and it would feel natural.
