• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

I just wanted to take a moment to share a few pics I've made while refining my 2D artwork skills. These are all made by hand, with very little plugin usage. I was working on building my 2D planet texturing and space background texturing skills. By hand, without the use of 3D, these are by far the best planetary background scenes I've ever made (and note, I didn't use lunar-cell nor any other plugins).

Not that they are top grade or nothing, but before anyone ever asks... Feel free to use them as desktops (the images are all 1024x768 format). If anyone wants use of them for anything else, I give my permission - as long as I get full credit.

Thank you Hellkite. I didn't think of it that way, but now that you mention it.

Well, here's another image. Same planet, just color modified. The background is a nebulae plane.

Also, it has a more feminine feel to it.

These images are actually related to the BSG-2D game I'm working on. This is some development work of sorts.

New art, 2008

Instead of making a new thread, I'll add to this one.

I haven't posted any artwork in some time. But that doesn't mean I don't do it when I can. So here is a taste of what I've done since the last time I posted any artwork.

Warning: Large image attachments.

To be honest, the latter two pictures don't appeal to me much, but the planets at top look wonderful. Can we expect to see this type of stuff in this game you and Majestic are working on?

Um, yes... There are things like that in one of the 2D titles we've been tinkering with.

But this thread is really just me showing off my drawings and what-nots.
