This file is an edited version of an earlier model with a new mesh and new textures.

"To compensate the heavy losses of ships during the first years of the Dominion war, Starfleet decided to improve damaged units of the Excelsior class. The ships
of this class were outdated and in desparate need of improvement. The result was the Excelsior II, outfitted with a new stardrive, new nacelles and stronger shields.
These ships performed very well and were more than a match for enemy ships. After the war they stayed in service for years."
