How can anyone play Runescape? It is like a seriously crap version of World of Warcraft. :p

As for the rest it's not relevant to YY, lets get back on topic shall we. :)

The only probelm with that is (and ask him), when I get in the mood to model, I tend to "snowball" Majestic with more models than he has time to hardpoint. *faint voice echos Gorn*

:lol2:  :lol2:  :lol2: I will have to ask him that

Also, on a similar note, I would like to suggest a special weapon for the Klingon Bird of Prey (BoP). Being this is a special weapon (SW), it can only be used once or twice, then you MUST wait for the special energy (SE) to recharge. The SW would be allowing a cloaked BoP fire 2-3 photon torps, BEFORE it automatically decloaks. The reason I say 2-3, is because in the movie the BoP fired of 2 shots before crippling the Kronos One. Keeping canon with the series, I would recommend 2-3 shots. Being a SW with SE, it allows a stealth attack, but prevents you from sending wave after wave after wave of BoPs at a base and destroying it.

Also, in keeping balance and fairness in the game, give a low level Federation vessel (Federation equilvalent to a Klingon BoP) a Tachyon Sweep SW, with SE, to allow to scan for the said BoPs.

Both SW MUST be researched at a science station before use.

Well guys, whatcha think??? or

As Syf said, Special weapons have been decided upon, and will be very limited and won't play a major role in the mod unlike the stock game.

Also detecting cloak will be a hell of a lot harder in YY. The technology of TMP/TLE times are not as advanced, I have a particular idea in mind to make detecting cloak vessels that isn't like the stock game, but I have to see if it is at all possible with the game engine.

Roger that. Just thought I throw some ideas out there. Wasn't sure what y'all had or had not planned on. Was flipping through some old magazines, encyclopedias, etc. thinking to myself...what can I contribute. Is there something, just something I can think of that would be cool and help them.

Well, here's another idea. One of the Miranda classes names was the U.S.S. Majestic, which was one of the ships used in the armada to retake DS9 from the Cardassians.

Cool, nice to know the special weapon plan for YY. Any idea of how many each race will have? I hope that idea of yours pans out majestic :)

Unlike the stock game, there is not going to be a ton of special weapons. A handful is all we are focusing on.

As for the USS Majestic... We are well aware of it. We have talked about that matter too. But don't let that discourage you. Keep digging, You may find something for us that we could use.

OK heres an idea. Which version of the Miranda class ship are you using. With or with out the roll bar, with or with the extra sensor platform, a Soyuz class which is the Miranda's twin sister, or a variation combination of the four?

Other note, let me if I can track down a U.S.S. Syf....by the way I don't think I ever seen your son on these threads. Matter of fact the only thread I seen his name on was the birthday thread. Is he ok?

Son of Syf is currently grounded until his grades come back up...:)

There was no USS Syf... As I invented the name.

The Miranda variants play a role in the mod. The Soyuz, the "Saratoga" and a few others. We have all the canon versions of the miranda type NCLs, DDs, LCs, etc.

Tell son I said :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:

And I was trying to be funny about the U.S.S. Syf part. I guess it didnt come out quite like it sounded in my head. Ever have that promblem. Brain says one thing, mouth (or hand if your typing) says another.

Cool, cool. You have all the variants, but was does "NCLs, DDs, LCs, etc." mean?

So what does Syf stand for?

The Son and the name are a story for different areas. I think there is a few threads that cover the name thing.

Well, in Trekienology, NCL is "New Light Cruiser", DD is "Destroyer" or "Drone Destroyer" (A missile carrier), LC is "Light Cruiser", and so on. Like the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 is a "New Command Cruiser".

The NCC-31860, I know her well. We have a few named units for the Federation, complete with registries and I would like to have an early USS Majestic (not a Miranda though) with a four digit registry (NCC-####), I guess we will see what I can come up with.

Syf is correct, only a bare handful, we want to focus on actual ship combat rather than special weapons like the stock game does. Plus the special weapons in YY are more realistic to the actual show rather than what looks cool like stock.

The Reliant variant (rool bar) is the only one buildable, the others appear throughout the campaign in one form or another and can be controlled by the player.

Oh, I know. The most common 4 digit pattern to anyone. The year of birth or last 4 of the social security number. But I don't know if "Down Under" has those.

I do believe you are right on the klingon vessel.

Majestic, question. When you say one one in the game, referring to the juggernaut. Are you saying that there is only 1 jug in the whole game, or 1 for each race.

Well WZ45's textures came that way, it's a minor fix that we may do but thanks for pointing it out.

Yeah the Juggernaut only appears in a campaign mission, I am sure you will all have fun trying to blow it out of the sky before it reaches your base and slaughters it.

Only one in the entire game, only one race has that monster.

The best way to compare her is as the TMP era's version of a Borg Cube. But no it isn't a Borg vessel thats the Juggernaut but a TMP era race vessel. She is a fleet on her own.

I remember her (the Juggernaut)... *evil laugh* I had "influence" there. All I can say is players will "drop messy bricks in their tighty whities" when they see this monster... :p

Agent Daniels: Is that... but it's... It can't be... there's no record of it in history... This has to be the work of a ...*phaser shot hit's Daniels, causing him to explode once again*
