As I said, glorious. It's a gigantic screen displaying the movie at a higher resolution than any TV on the market (though older theaters may still use 4k) with the video file itself using less compression than blu-ray paired with a sound system with greater range and fidelity than any of us (except maybe Hellkite, judging by his computer) can afford in a home system. And there's popcorn!

Bated breath and fingers crossed. Episode VII was ok, but I want much better this time around. Rogue 1 was far superior and gives me some hope for something a little more original and classy for Episode VIII.

Just cant wait to see Luke back:thumbsup:

Just a reminder, after seeing the movie you can have spoileriffic discussions about it here, but make sure you use the spoiler tag.
Untitled.png
You can also type the tag in by hand, like so:
Code:
[SPOILER="TLJ Spoiler"]blah blah blah[/SPOILER]
=
blah blah blah

I don't suspect this will be a problem since you all have been great about spoilers for everything, but I just wanted to make sure.

The amount of holy sh*t moments was through the roof guys, I just got back from the midnight screening here and I'm still trying to absorb everything.

The stand out moment for me was Snoke's death and the resulting fight with the Red Guards.

Luke "facing off" with Kylo on Crait was a transcendent level of awesome.

Was a bit jarred on how Leia survived, is she subtly force sensitive?

Respect to Rian Johnson's direction on Ep VIII, lots of risky moves that I think paid off immensely. With a lot of emotional weight as well. I'll just sit down now and catch my breath...

I've heard nothing but positive about the movie. At any rate, sometimes, you have to just ignore what people say and take a chance. There have been plenty of times I either enjoyed or disliked a movie despite what people had said.

i was watching the youtube reviews, some people saying disney destroying star wars, others say its best movie ever.....personally i love SW Rebels (wish they made Kota cannon though lol) and while i see how TFA is a LOT like ANH, i did love Rogue One lol....wots ur take on the new disney cannon?

I am fine with it. I haven't read a lot of the EU books so I don't have the attachment like a lot of others do. Those that complain about what is going on with the franchise is no different than the way a lot of Star Trek fans complain about what Paramount is doing with Star Trek. I have not seen The Last Jedi yet but I did enjoy The Force Awakens. Rogue One is an awesome movie and I can't wait to see what else they do. Honestly George Lucas lost his mind with the direction of the prequel movies and the "re-mastered" original trilogy.

I dont really have a problem with the Remastered, i can see why fans hate them but i can take most of them with a pinch of salt, wot do u think of Rebels if you've seen it?

ive read all the spoilers to do with the Last Jedi :( now i REALLY wanna see it

Rebels is a great series. It is just a shame that it is ending after this season. Would have made an awesome live action series. I like that they finally made Thrawn canon and the similarities between Kanan Jaris and Rom Kota was done tastefully.

I cant get to the cinema for a few days. It's already pirated online, I may have to just make do with that for now (assuming the quality is ok). I will definitely get to the cinema over Christmas at some point

I have seen it twice now. Two different parts of the family went at different times and I was "forced" to go both times.
It has little bits that lifetime fans will pick up on but you don't have to be a lifetime fan to enjoy the film. It is a good continuation of the story line. It is definitely worth watching in the theater.
Here is a list of the parts that I liked best:
1. Yoda's sarcasm is still funny and completely true.
2. The sarcasm that is between the older characters helps build on the spirit of the entire sage.
3. How they decimate Snoke's ship is just awesome to watch.
4. Luke finally shows himself to be the Jedi master that he should have been.
