Hi all,

I have a question for you all, What is your favorite Starship in Star Trek Armada 2 regardless if its canon or non-canon?

My favorite ship that I like playing in my Armada 2 Fleet is the Prometheus Class. This ship was exclusively designed for Battle; Multiple Phaser Banks, Multiple Photon/Quantum Torpedo Launchers and MVAM this ship is Armed to the Teeth.

From a design point of you it has a very Sleek Hull and Graceful to look at. First Encounter with this Starship on the outside it just looks like another Federation ship designed for Long Range Exploration. But the Prometheus is like a Wolf in Sheep's clothing it does not show its teeth and claws until it is provoked.

The Prometheus is one of the fastest ships in the Federation Fleet; With several of these ships in battle it can cause a lot of destruction against there adversaries.

So anyone, what's your Favorite Star Trek ship in Armada 2 Canon and Non- Canon?

Your headline of this thread sound like you meen the ships in a non modded "original" A2 and the Prometheus is not in an "original" A2.
If you meen a modded A2, than i have manny favorite ships not only one.
The Silent Enemy ship from Enterprise, its design is great and the blade like disruptor shots are great to.
I like the Cardassian Galor and Keldon class ships, their design was always great to me, even if their weapons are not that powerfull.
There are manny more, from all those canon and not canon Star Trek races.

Well either one Modded or Non-Modded Star Trek: A2 Ships, should of been more clear; but that's what meant.

I think Cardassian Ships are unique in many ways same goes for Klingon, Romulan and Dominion ships.

But my interest are more towards Federation Ships. I have always been more aligned with the Federation. My other Favorite ships are the Defiant Class, Sovereign Class and the Akira Class.

For me it was the Romulan Griffin and Cardassian Sartan. I like the fleet fillers the best for some reason.

The Griffin is a beautiful design. I don't remember this thread at all, but the Griffin has my vote, aesthetically.

The Omega and Starfury are wonderful ships. They're great examples of how form-following-function can produce beautiful designs.

The Romulan ships introduced in A1 were all fantastic. They all look like they could have been on the show. The Shrike even looks like a TNG-era descendant of the TOS Romulan BoP.

Hmm. My favorite overall is the SA-43A Hammerhead from Space Above and Beyond. I know that there's one floating around somewhere but back in my modding days, an A2 modeler built a custom one for me (Along with the Sulaco from Aliens) and I put some sweet custom textures on it.

Outside of that, I love the Omega Destroyer. I'm biased with that one, having worked with those peeps back in the day.

Star Trek ships, no one can beat the good ol' Connie Refit for me in the Prime Universe. And I also love the JJ-Verse Enterprise. I'll hide now from all of the thrown objects due to my last comment. Cya in two years.

Memory Alpha has a list of known and possible Connies, but the registry numbers are all over the map so it's hard to say which ones are from the original run just from that. However, the Constellation, Defiant, Excalibur, Exeter, Hood, Intrepid, Lexington, and Potemkin all appeared in TOS. With the Enterprise and Constitution, that makes ten known ships likely from the original run, leaving only two. We also have two registry numbers we know are attached to to Constitution-class ships but do not have names for: NCC-1700 and NCC-1707. The 1700 hasn't been named on-screen, but secondary sourced identify it as the Constitution. The 1707 is still fully un-named. So, if we add them all together we get:

Constellation NCC-1017
Constitution NCC-1700
Defiant NCC-1764
Enterprise NCC-1701
Excalibur NCC-1664
Exeter NCC-1672
Hood NCC-1703
Intrepid NCC-1631
Lexington NCC-1709
Potemkin NCC-1657
[unknown name] NCC-1707
[unknown name] [unknown registry]

How it is that there are registry numbers lower than the lead ship's is a mystery.

I agree the Prometheus class is really good, I've modified one so that each section has a different function Construction, Mining and Repair Ship for really fast base establishment.

My favorites the Dawnstar class with the black textures. I now that it was suppose to be before the galaxy class but I always thought it fit well with the sovs.

I doubt that the Dawnstar was meant to predate the Galaxy. As far as I can tell, the original Redragon design wasn't dated at all. Considering her clearly Sov-ish design elements, I would say she's actually quite a bit younger. Especially with Jet's retexture, I agree that she fits neatly next to the Sovvie.

This may be sound ridiculous, but my favorite ship was cardassian cargo ship. I liked that design since i saw it in DS9 episode with Dukat and Kira refiting it with weapons so they can fight raiding klingon BOP. In A2, i like to use is a a cargo ship/colony ship/assault ship. I like to mod Hideki class with sensor scrambler(and AIP files to use them plenty) so they can joing Galors in massive skirmish battles. Yeah, it's difficult to choose a favourite stock, given enough potential, in modded versions, any ship can become something incredible, but i always liked cardassian designs.

i like nearly all trek ships that are in manuals , books , games , films , series.

and now i'm looking for permissions of some modders work.

fahres , chile trek , Terradyhne, Ben Maxwell ,Cmd Risotoni,Captian_Fingers ,MajorAPayne,
Yacuzza,SciFiFan's tmp assault :) ,

i miss some franken fleet ships , its kitbash but i'm alright with that ,
that happens when you are retreating.

or is star fleet having simply that capability to do separating of all parts and fit it together,
to something new?

i would find that interisting on ships :)

My absolute favorite was my Luna Class. I fell in love instantly when I saw how well that ship was designed and I'm still proud that I was the first to create an accurate representation of it for any Trek game.

Answering to Technitron: Starfleet issued a directive back int eh TOS era to make every starship modular, meaning that every ship could be constructed from pre-built parts like nacelles, dish sections, bridge sections etc. Although later came many exceptions, many of the later Starfleet design are similarly modular and thus, interchangeable. Like the Galaxy and the three Nebula variants.

My favorite is the Aegean class. Can anyone tell if I'm trolling or not? LOL
Of course Akira ftw, I think it's a really timeless design, and one of the rare ones that looks better than any of the refit/kitbash ones (e.g. Forerunner, Nimrod/Guncutter).
